RoadActive - Principles Of RoadActive Suspension

6/11/2008

The Principles of How RoadActive Suspension Operates

Our patented Active Suspension system for rear leaf springs improves vehicle control, safety and stability without changing the ride quality.  The two variable rated coil springs fit onto the rear leaf springs of pickup trucks, vans and SUV's. Once installed, loaded tension from the RAS variable rated coil springs instantly generate energy to the rear leaf springs by holding the leaf springs in their original designed bowed position. Like powerful muscles, when strain from the load (payload, tow load or vehicle weight shifts, etc) is applied to the leaf springs the RAS stabilizers come into action immediately, absorbing the force of the load. When cornering, RAS reduces body roll and improves stability by supporting the spring which is taking the increased load. This is especially true for SUV's and other vehicles with a high center-of-gravity. The greater the strain, the more counter assistance force from the RAS unit enabling vehicles to carry maximum loads without bottoming through.

RAS Will Increase Load Carrying Capacity 50% Above O.E.M. Rating

When fitted, never load the vehicle beyond the manufacturers' maximum GVWR.
RoadActive Suspension kits are designed to vastly improve road handling
and load carrying ability, with or without a load, when fitted to pickups, vans and sports utilities, with rear leaf springs. Refer to our application guide for the correct kit for your vehicles.

What does the RoadActive Suspension do?

  • Improves driver control, safety and stability, with or without a load
  • Improve load carrying capacity like helper springs or other load assist products but without the usual sacrifice of ride comfort due to added stiffness
  • Improve fuel efficiency when operating under load and reduce the operating cost by extending the life of leaf springs, shocks, shackles and most of all, tires
  • Eliminates bottoming out like air systems while never requiring adjusting or applying pressure to points on your frame
  • Eliminates sway and reduces roll on corners like anti-sway bars
  • Reduces axle wrap and wheel hop like traction bars
  • Strengthens rear leaf springs for towing or hauling maximum loads with maximum safety
  • Absorbs load, rather than resisting it, thereby ensuring a much more comfortable ride
  • Eliminates the need for fitting extra blades which harden the ride
  • Better handling and control in windy and rough road conditions
  • Easy to install, can be fitted in approximately 60 minutes with no welding or drilling
  • Secured under its own coil spring tension
  • User friendly, once installed no adjustment or maintenance required
  • Manufactured from high grade alloy spring steel
  • Save money and minimize wear on tires, shocks, shackles and leaf springs
  • 30 Day Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee!
  • Toll-free technical support

Now the world no. 1 leaf spring interactve support system

RoadActive Suspension consists of a set of two variable related coil springs designed to assist rear leaf springs.

As the leaf springs on the rear suspension begin to take strain, the stabilizers come into action. The greater the strain the more the counter assistance force from the Roadmaster, enabling vehicles to carry maximum loads stipulated by manufacturers' specifications without bottoming out. Being coil springs the stabilizers provide a smooth ride without sway.

On cornering the RoadActive Suspension reduces roll by supporting the spring that is taking the increased load.

RoadActive Suspension is designed to eliminate shock on the suspension itself, thus extending the life of leaf springs, shock absorbers, shackles and tires, offering improved stability.

There is no loosening or removal of any parts and no alteration of any existing parts on any vehicle. The design specifically respects the manufacturer's original assembly.

The eye bracket will allow access to any form of the difficult eye shackles that may be encountered.

Complete connection to adjustment rod, ready for setting required tension.

anchor bracket roadmaster suspension

The axle anchor bracket is designed for any axle housing design through special adjustments that are available in the anchor bracket, particularly where the axles are fitted over the leaf spring or under the leaf spring. All adjustments are simple and easy to adapt.

Same kit for all vehicles

All light to medium vehicles and 4x4 SUVs with leaf springs use the same kit, with a choice of 3 tension springs, each of which is applicable to particular models and types of vehicles, depending on load capacity.  These tension springs are manufactured and guaranteed to be suitable in strength and ability to combine with the tension of each grade of tension coil spring from diameter 8mm to 12mm
